Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Superintendent and Project Manager in daily on-site and office operations, including coordination of subcontractors, crews, foremen, and field personnel for ground-up construction and interior/exterior renovation of commercial/industrial facilities.
  • Assist in developing, updating, and managing detailed project schedules to ensure milestones are met and timelines are maintained for both new builds and renovation scopes.
  • Help enforce strict safety protocols, participate in site inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, Martin ICS policies, client-specific safety requirements, and industry standards in high-hazard industrial settings.
  • Support resource allocation and logistics, including coordination of labor, equipment, materials, and tool deliveries with vendors and suppliers to prevent delays on ground-up and renovation work.
  • Assist in monitoring project progress, quality control, and workmanship; help perform inspections and support resolution of issues to meet or exceed client expectations across new construction and renovation activities.

  • Work closely with the Project Management team to track and monitor project spending; help ensure field and procurement activities remain within the established project budget; assist in identifying potential cost overruns early and support implementation of corrective actions.
  • Participate in daily/weekly meetings, help document progress, and maintain accurate project records, reports, submittals, RFIs, and as-built documentation for all project types.
  • Contribute to a positive, productive team environment while supporting efforts to minimize disruptions in operational industrial settings, particularly during renovation work in live facilities.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, safety regulations, and best practices for both new builds and renovation work.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; ability to support and coordinate diverse teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency with construction management software/tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Additional safety certifications a plus.

Safety Compliance Expectations:

  • Full adherence to OSHA regulations and standards.
  • Compliance with Martin ICS comprehensive safety program, which includes rigorous training, regular audits, advanced safety technologies, and a proactive approach to risk identification, assessment, and mitigation (safety is a core value at Martin ICS—”Safety First, Excellence Always”).
  • Strict adherence to client-specific safety requirements, including integration with client operations, job hazard analysis, permitting, emergency response protocols, and any additional site-specific rules in active industrial/oil & gas environments.
  • Ability to work in outdoor/field conditions, including industrial sites with potential hazards.

Note: Prior experience specifically in industrial (oil & gas, energy, refining) construction or renovation is not required; candidates from commercial, institutional, or other construction sectors are encouraged to apply if they meet the experience requirements.
