Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our accounting team to support financial operations and maintain accurate accounting records for our organization.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our accounting team to support financial operations and maintain accurate accounting records for our organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple financial responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction Project Accounting (job costing, AIA billing, WIP Reporting)
  • Cost Accounting
  • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Project Budgeting, Forecasting, Tracking
  • Month-End Closing

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry with project cost accounting required.
  • In-depth experience utilizing construction-specific accounting software is required.
  • This position will support multiple unique companies.

Safety Compliance Expectations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • Proven experience in construction accounting
  • Proficiency in construction accounting software is required (e.g. Sage, Timberline, QB Desktop for Contractors, Viewpoint Spectrum, Deltek, CMiC, Foundation, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct for Construction (implemented by Sockeye, Baker Tilly, Alliance, etc.) is preferred.
  • Excellent skills in processing accounts receivable and payable
  • Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner
  • Implementing, automating, and improving company-wide process and workflows
  • Comfortable with cross-platform data management, including 3rd party and legacy systems
  • Proven experience implementing and adopting new accounting software / ERP systems
  • Internal controls
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, construction-adjacent environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
